As an HR practitioner, I’ve encountered several types and level of offenses committed by co-employees. Some are petty, some are grave, some are desperate, others are pitiful or even downright stupid it makes you just want to laugh about it.A few days ago, someone discovered something and snitched it up to the management, who of course, made further investigation, which lead to more discoveries and consequently, a “clean up.”

Upon the announcement of the management’s “verdict,” most of them were crying and remorseful, others still couldn’t seem to believe they’ve been discovered, a few maintained their innocence and appeared even angry and a lone man broke down saying that his child was just sick… Different stories. Different reactions. Different defenses and coping mechanisms.
